A cold misty winters morning gathering for a pheasant shoot. I wanted to concentrate more on the subject matter and just create an atmospheric setting.Not sure about the puddles?
Agricultural sheds are just so interesting, quirky. The artists problem is how much detail and how to portray, suggestive and not too accurate, where to draw the line, excuse the pun. I’m happy with the balance here.

The light oh the light, Ben Lui appearing as the rain clouds clear, the bothy is artistic licence, but not out of place.

So another Scottish life image, striking colours and forms of the stills and atmospherics of the process. End product not bad either. (The whisky that is).
I fancied a change from landscapes and wanted to paint Scottish life. Burns night was only a few days away, no better place to start.
Popular spot near Fortrose on the Blackisle for watching dolphins. I was taken by the silhouette against misty winter light
Friends asked me to paint the view from a parents house of the Cairngorms, so a panorama developed with some late afternoon winter sunlight.
